My name is Terri Connelly and I have been a member of the Orlando Jeep Club since January of 2009. I joined the club to learn about my Jeep and also have fun and meet other Jeepers. My first event was the Monster Jam last year and I had a blast tailgating and going to the show. I was amazed at how friendly everyone was and how cool the other Jeeps were.
Shortly after I joined the club, I got diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and after two surgeries and radiation I am now cancer free. In September 2009 I was finally done with radiation and able to enjoy my Jeep again.
I entered the Jeepers for charity event to benefit the American Cancer Society which is a great cause and dear to my heart. I was amazed at what a great event it was and how much fun we all had. I was really blown away when I turns out that I was on the first place team !! I have a 2004 TJ named “Tigger “ (because he bounces) and I am having a blast being a member of The Orlando Jeep Club. I also went on my first ever trail rides to Ocala and Suburban estates this year, and what I learned is … that scratches on the Jeep don’t hurt and Jeeps can go under water! I am enjoying getting some mud on my tires with a great group of Jeepers.
