The Lakeland Jeep Club will be holding a show and shine/picnic at Saddle Creek Park in Lakeland on Hwy 92, May 19th 2012. We will be sponsoring The SPCA at this event who will be in attendance with some adoptable animals. There is no charge for participation or food, we just ask that you bring something for the animals such as dog or cat food, cat litter etc. Trophies will be awarded for catagories such as Best Club Participation, Best Topless Jeep, Best in Show etc. We plan on having lots of raffle prizes including an awesome wrought iron double rocking Jeep bench with a Jeep grill. All Jeep clubs and Jeep owners are invited to join us for some fun! More details to follow.
Please mark your calendars for this date. We are going to have a bunch of activities for children.....plus our raffle prizes are going to be great this year. In addition to major Jeep sponsors such as Quadratec and Poison Spyder, were are going to be giving away 10 one day admissions to amusement parks that you would normally pay about $75 each for along with dinner for 8, tattoo certificates, transmission work etc. Along with the SPCA, proceeds will also be going to The Salvation Army Halo which is a daycare for homeless children. 100% of the proceeds will be going to these charities.
Again, no admission will be charged for participation we just ask that you bring something for either Halo such as clothing especially for 3 and 4 year olds or something for the SPCA. SPCA has sent a wish list for dog and cat food, cat litter, dog and cat toys, disposable gloves, peanut butter, dog and cat toys, biscuits and bones, glass cleaner, leashes, collars, trash bags etc. They will be there with adoptable dogs, so if you know of someone that is looking for a new pet, please invite them to check it out.
